About the partnership
In June 2008 CVSNL was successful in submitting a bid to develop a project which would bring the third sector together under thematic networks. The original plan was to develop 8 thematic networks over the 2 years of the project.
The aim of the networks is to bring voluntary groups together to share good practice, news and ideas. The networks are focused on communication: both between the groups, and between the third sector and statutory sector.
Each thematic network brings together third sector organisations focused around a particular theme. Each network has a network coordinator, and 8 thematic networks have been established to date:
- Employability
- Advice & Advocacy
- Environment
- Older People
- Health
- Childcare
- Training & Development
- Youth
