Kenny Moffat, Director
I am the Director of CVS North Lanarkshire and my role involves me in dealing with a range of partners at both strategic and operational levels in order to represent and inform the voluntary and community sector across North Lanarkshire. Our key partnerships include Volunteer Centre North Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Council, Scottish Executive, North Lanarkshire Partnership and of course our member organisations.
I represent CVS NL (and often the voluntary sector) on a number of strategic groups where I endeavour to ensure that decisions taken reflect the needs, aspirations and expectations of the sector at large. As an organisation we have initiated a series of consultation events where we will offer representatives of the Voluntary Sector the opportunity to put their views across and to participate in sector-wide planning in order to ensure a representative voice at a strategic level.
I report to the CVS NL Board who assist me in taking the organisation forward in a strategic and informed direction, and at an operational level we have an excellent staff team who work hard to deliver our range of core services.
Internally I am responsible for ensuring stability in terms of finance and staffing – indeed the full range of resources required to equip us to deliver against the company’s mission, aims and objectives as detailed in our Business plan.
