Morag Thomson I am CVS North Lanarkshire's Team Leader (Development & HR) and my role is to help voluntary sector committees and boards to be good employers.Those who employ staff or are about to get funding to do so will want to ensure they are acting as a good employer by complying with employment law and fair employment practices.

Employment law has been changing rapidly over the past few years and the pace is unlikely to slow down over the coming years. When it comes to employing staff, CVSNL can offer groups advice, guidance, support by telephone, email, one to one sessions, small groups and workshops. The most common requests for support are: recruitment and selection, terms & conditions of employment, policies & procedures. In addition to these areas, we provide intervention and tailored support in all areas of human resource management.
